Permintaan lintas situs adalah hal biasa di web. Banyak halaman memuat CSS, gambar, dan skrip dari server yang berbeda.

Di browser modern, permintaan HTTP lintas situs dari skrip dibatasi ke situs yang sama karena alasan keamanan.
